How to Connect the Eccotemp L5 to a 12v Water Pump

The Eccotemp L5 Portable Tankless Water Heater works great with a 12v water pump when you are in need of water pressure. Whether you are using water from a storage tank, rain barrel or a lake, a 12v pump will give you the needed pressure to use the L5.

You will need a few extra parts to combine the two together, such as a barb adapter, hose clamps, wire nuts and 1/2" garden hose. You will also need your power source for the pump which could be an AC/DC power adapter or a deep cycle battery.

Simply connect a garden hose to the water inlet on the L5 and then to the discharge connector on the water pump and connect another garden hose to the pump and place the other end of the hose into your water source. Connect your 12v battery to your power adapter or deep cycle battery. Then turn your gas supply on, power on the L5 and your 12v pump to enjoy endless hot water from your Eccotemp L5.

The video below was created by one of our Distributors and demonstrates how easy it is to setup and use your L5 and water pump.
