A Super Value and Very Well Made!!!

As a Responsible Master Plumber in the State of Texas, I have installed tank type for years and recently now tank-less. I installed two electric tank-less that I liked and my customers liked. For a small household they were great and one of the customers insisted on electric. 50 amp double pole breaker was required. I purchased some of the Eccotemp LP models and one has gone to Taos, New Mexico to an Earthship project there and I kept one here for emergency hot water. (we had two hurricanes and hot water is a very nice thing to have. cold showers are not fun, but doable) Ok I am rambling. I installed the Eccotemp FVI12-NG tankless on Monday of this week. I was really amazed at the high quality and high workmanship. My customer waited an entire week for me to return from out of town and was extremely pleased when her new unit arrived. It is very nice and worth more money than Eccotemp ask for them. The install took just a little longer but the next will take me less time than a tank type. I am giving her a week to try it but I believe she is very pleased. She gained lots of room in her garage and it works great. I had her test every hot-water outlet in her home and she was getting about 108 to 113. I showed the controls and explained she may need to turn it up some in the winter. Everything was in the kit. (except pressure relief valve)but you must install on exterior wall or corner near exterior to use the stainless steel vent pipe that is included. Make sure the vent pipe slopes down slightly. (the hot gas condenses on it and the liquid is acidic and needs to drain away from the unit. I will buy more and I will install more. I will work on modifying vent system but you must use stainless, no substitutes allowed. Great Job EccoTemp.
